The Garnish Co. Cocktail Consulting

The Strategy: In 2015, I identified an opportunity in the Kansas City market: a robust wedding industry with a complete absence of bespoke, high-end cocktail consultancies. I used the venture to see if a cocktail could tell a story, translating a couple’s history into narrative-driven mixology unique to their experience. The project quickly scaled into a local, category-redefining business model through strategic positioning, creative execution, and relentless promotion.

My Role (Founder): As the sole architect of the business, I managed the end-to-end development of the brand—from securing initial funding and developing custom beverage programs to executing the visual identity. I functioned as my own creative agency, handling web design, photography, and PR to secure high-visibility features in Feast Magazine, Recommend Daily, and 435 Kansas City Magazine. This venture served as a strategic proof-of-concept for my ability to ideate, pitch, and scale a successful project from the ground up, eventually leading to bar program consultancies and my transition into commercial producing.
