When I moved from Brooklyn to Kansas City in 2015, I created The Garnish Co., a custom cocktail consulting company to serve a gap in the market. At the time, there were no bartending services offering customized craft cocktails despite the huge wedding industry in KCMO.
My goal was to simply make a couple bucks while I figured out my next career move, but it turned out The Garnish Co. got quite a bit of attention. Upon launching, The Garnish Co. was featured in multiple local publications including Feast Magazine, Recommend Daily, and 435 Kansas City Magazine.
As the founder & sole employee, I ran the business, developed custom cocktails + menus, while also doing the website design, photography, and PR.
The success of the Garnish Co. led to multiple bar program consulting opportunities at some of the best cocktail bars in Kansas City while also introducing me to Rw2 Productions, where I got my start it commercial producing.
